Circle Oil appoints new CEO

Oil and gas exploration, development and production company, Circle Oil, has announced the appointment of Professor Chris Green as its CEO. Professor Green initially joined Circle as a non-executive director in September 2005.p>Oil and gas exploration, development and production company, Circle Oil, has announced the appointment of Professor Chris Green as its CEO. Professor Green initially joined Circle as a non-executive director in September 2005.

He subsequently assumed the key executive roles of technical director and chief operating officer. Professor Green is an explorationist and geophysicist with some 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry including 24 years at Shell.

"Circle is fortunate to have someone of Professor Green's calibre to lead the company forward,” said Circle Oil chairman, Thomas Anderson. “The strong position of Circle today as a successful exploration company with growing production revenues owes much to Chris's expertise and vision. There are many exciting opportunities ahead of us and under his leadership shareholders can feel confident of continued delivery."
