BP awards Egypt offshore contract to Maersk

Maersk Drilling has won BPs contract for work initially offshore Egypt with the ultra deepwater semi submersible, Maersk Discoverer.

The duration of the contract which is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2012, is for four years, and also includes an option for one year.

Contract value

The maximum contract value for the firm four-year period is approximately US$780 million (4.3 billion DKK) including mobilization fees.

Good opportunity
