Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has exceeded its planned crude throughput target for 2011, set at the beginning of the year.
Highest monthly average
This accomplishment was achieved despite some interruptions to operation during the unrest in February and March. Bahrain also recorded the highest monthly average crude run of 271,300 bpd in November.
A tremendous achievement
"This is all a tremendous achievement in ensuring that the refinery processed safely the maximum possible crude rate," chief executive Gordon Smith was quoted as saying by Gulf News.
"We realise the importance of the Bapco refinery to the national economy. We will continue to strive for excellence in meeting our targets and maximising revenues for Bahrain," he added.
