Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA OPCO) has awarded AMEC a project management consultancy (PMC) services contract for the offshore Umm al-Lulu Phase 2 project in the UAE
The engineering and project management company company said that the contract is worth US$124mn.
This five-year contract follows a previous award from ADMA OPCO in 2012 for the provision of services for the Umm al-Lulu Phase 1 and the Nasr Phase 1 project, AMEC added.
Under the latest contract, AMEC’s scope of work includes project management of the engineering, procurement and construction contractors who will deliver a large offshore super complex located in the Umm al-Lulu field.
The complex will also comprise of six bridge-linked platforms including gathering, separation, gas treatment and water disposal facilities, utilities and accommodation modules.
Ross Gibson, operations director of AMEC in the Gulf and North Africa region, said, “Further expansion in the Middle East is a key part of AMEC’s growth strategy.
“It is good to see we are winning repeat business based on our previous performance and strength of our local capabilities.”
