World energy leaders to meet in Kuwait at KOGS 2019

More than 6,000 global energy leaders, stakeholders and executives will gather in Kuwait for the 4th Society of Petroleum Engineers Kuwait Oil & Gas Show and Conference (KOGS 2019) in October

The event will take place from 13-16 October at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre and the Kuwait International Fair in Mishref, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, with official support from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Under the theme ‘New Energy Transition: delivering value through collaboration and capability’ the broad-spectrum conference programme features more than 200 expert speakers and covers topics across the full value chain focusing on today’s industry trends and challenges.

The conference opening ceremony and an executive plenary session on Sunday, 13 October will be attended by ministers, chief executives of NOCs and IOCs, intergovernmental organisations and professional associations. Five-panel sessions and more than100 technical presentations will run alongside the exhibition.

More than 190 companies from 30 countries will be in attendance at the parallel exhibition taking place from 14-16 October. The 14,000 sq m international showcase features flagship participation from NOCs and IOCs, equipment, machinery, technological advancements and innovative services in the oil, gas, refining and petrochemical sectors.

“The current growth witnessed in Kuwait’s oil and gas industry holds much promise for domestic and foreign oil and gas service companies. Meeting at KOGS 2019 will facilitate an important technological exchange between industry leaders, professionals and government officials as we look to the future,” said Dr Khaled Al-Fadhel, minister of oil, electricity and water of the State of Kuwait.

“The stature of this major international oil and gas exhibition and conference benefits Kuwait’s international standing as one of the world’s leading oil-producing nations and mirrors the great strides we have made in the petroleum industry and overseas activities,” he continued.
