SPE’s Annual Caspian Technical Conference to take place virtual in October

Event News

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will hold the seventh edition of its Caspian Technical Conference (CTC) virtually on 21-22 October 2020

The new format will provide a series of interactive technical content opportunities, collaboration experiences including live speaker Q&A’s, 1:1 chats and group networking lounges.

The virtual event will include leaders and experts from the oil and gas industry. They will analyse the current climate and discuss the latest technologies, new developments and first-hand insights in upstream oil and gas.

The unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a number of challenging issues across governments and industries. During this year’s CTC, the experts will discuss tangible approaches on how oil and gas companies can make organisational, cultural and structural changes, simplifying and localising supply chains, reinventing themselves and putting the purpose and impact at the heart of their activities.

Themed as Competing on a global scale: Creating the right environment, the event will deliver the same high quality peer-reviewed technical programme and participants will have access to both live and on-demand content up to 30 days post-event to revisit and advance their technical learning.

The event has the support of a range of leading oil and gas players in the Caspian region, including KMG, TCO, NCOC, ExxonMobil, Chevron, DeGolyer & MacNaughton, Shell and Total.
