Plastics oasis at Petrochem Arabia to be developed

The chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail & SABIC, HH Prince Saud Bin Thunayan, has announced that PLASCHEM, an area designated for the plastics industry by the Royal Commission programme will be developed, as well as participation for SABIC, Saudi Aramco and National Industrial Cluster.

p>The chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail & SABIC, HH Prince Saud Bin Thunayan, has announced that PLASCHEM, an area designated for the plastics industry by the Royal Commission programme will be developed, as well as participation for SABIC, Saudi Aramco and National Industrial Cluster.

Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Judaimi, Vice President of Chemicals, Saudi Aramco, highlighted Sadara Chemical Company, a Joint Venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical company. Sadara will include 26 factories, producing petrochemicals, chemicals and various plastics will aim to generate US$10 billion in revenue within the coming years.

The international exhibition features a number of national and international petrochemical experts, with the likes of Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu, Petro Rabigh, ABB, ExxonMobil, Sipchem having a large representation.

Petrochem Arabia takes place at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Centre, Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
