MEPEC completes evaluation process for technical papers

Event News

The technical committee of the Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition (MEPEC) has accepted all abstracts for the technical papers and completed the evaluation process.

MEPEC’s ‘Call for Abstracts’ received an overwhelming response from both the industry and academia. As a result, more than 200 abstracts from around 20 different countries were sent in.

Dr. Halim H. Redhwi, Chairman of the MEPEC Technical Committee, stated that the abstract evaluation process has been completed and fitted in with the scheduled timeline for the Conference.  Dr. Redhwi was very impressed with the submitted abstracts which consisted of high technical content and remained relevant to the core Conference themes.

Dr. Redhwi added that, due to the limited number of slots available for technical presentations during the conference, those abstracts with high technical content that could not be short-listed to be delivered as a presentation have been selected for poster sessions.

Dr. Redhwi further confirmed that all the authors have been notified about the status of their submitted abstracts as to whether they had been accepted or rejected. All the presentations and posters must be submitted in accordance with MEPEC guidelines.

The final deadline for submission is 15th September 2011.
