MEPEC 2011 will focus on technological excellence and innovative solutions

The 1st Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition (MEPEC) will be held on 23‐26 October 2011, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Energy. The event is organized by Saudi Arabian Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (SAS-AIChE) and the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), supported by AIChE.

Mr. Mosaed Al Ohali, Executive Vice President, Saudi Manufacturing SABIC, Chairman of the Advisory Committee said:  “The purpose of this event is to bridge the gap between the decision-makers and the aspirations of chemical and process engineers. There are a lot of projects in the pipeline, and we wish to see them during the exhibition which revolves around an idea floated by the Organizers that these projects should be in the knowledge of the industry’s professionals whose feedback will be then channeled back to the implementing process. I am sure the conferences will greatly benefit our region, international governments and authorities, construction industry, service providers and manufacturers.” Mr. Ohali added.

Elaborating, Eng. Almajnouni said “The conference significance stems from deepening communications and exchanging experiences among participants, through conducting an integrated technical program discussing important topics. The Conference and Exhibition serves as an excellent opportunity for sharing knowledge, experiences and lessons learned on contemporary issues affecting industries that are process engineering related.”
