The Leadership Excellence for Women Awards and Symposium (LEWAS) is now in its fifth edition and will be organized alongside MEPEC under the patronage of Bahrain’s oil minister, Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa
The symposium will be held from 14-16 October with the support and guidance of the chairperson: Reem Al Ghanim, head of division, chemicals – HR and support services, Saudi Aramco, co-chairperson: Ezz Almannai, director of planning and development, National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA); together with the advisory board and committee of 20 inspirational leaders.
LEWAS has always strived to engage, empower and raise women across the energy sector in the Middle East. It honours the best leadership practices that have succeeded in bringing about change in different areas while developing strategies that initiate the promotion and establishment of women in the business.
It recognises leaders and innovators who contribute to the development of the region’s future and chooses the best among them. There are seven award categories that will recognise and honour a young woman with three-five years of experience to an organisation that encourages diversity and inclusion.
LEWAS is now accepting nominations for all award categories. Award applications are open till 20 July 2019.
The symposium will focus on driving innovation through diversity with motivational speakers who will discuss the challenges and the need for diversity and inclusion.
