The company, which has offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, supplies tanks, baskets, waste skips and other offshore DNV 2.7-1 containers to the offshore energy industry.
“Moving goods to and from a vessel carries inherent risks. Using appropriate cargo carrying units (CCU’s) protects the cargo and because it is efficiently packed, it significantly reduces the number of lifts on and off the vessel. We will be at ADIPEC to discuss with anyone who regularly sends goods offshore, how we can reduce the risks for them,” said Emile Bado, Ferguson’s regional manager Middle East and North Africa.
According to Ferguson, best practice material is vital to the busy quarysides of the Gulf. Every lift to or from a vessel poses a greater risk to the vessel, the cargo and the people nearby. Reducing the number of lifts by using an appropriate CCU, will lower the risk to all, the company said.
“Our product range has been developed to offer the safest, most efficient and cost effective means of transporting goods and equipment offshore,” added Bado.
