Exclusive interview with Osama Oulabi, Regional VP Middle East, Speedcast

In an exclusive interview with Oil Review Middle East, Osama Oulabi, Regional VP Middle East at Speedcast discussed how the company’s multipath networks are addressing the rising demand for connectivity and reliability. Its intelligent multipath solution combines all types of connectivity – satellite, LEO G5 and more – in one platform so the client always has reliable connectivity through the best available network. He discussed how the Sigma network management system provides visibility and control through one management platform, allowing operators to remotely monitor their infrastructure, applications and connectivity and see and manage their usage. It enables identification and resolution of issues before they occur, thereby reducing the need for site visits, improving operational efficiency and lowering support cost. This improves the user experience, increases safety and makes the job of IT management easier.
Oulabi commented that the Middle East market continues to grow, with a requirement for autonomous vessels, reliability and digitalisation.
At ADIPEC, Speedcast is showcasing various connectivity solutions including its Sigma platform and SD-WAN solutions and how all these connections can be integrated into the Sigma box. It is also showcasing applications relating to crew welfare and cybersecurity, among others. The company is taking the opportunity to have discussions with clients to identify their needs and guide application development.
