The representatives of Saudi Aramco have visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to discuss collaboration and cooperation in power and water development projects
According to Trade Arabia, the meeting highlighted cooperation between the two organisations, allowing Saudi Aramco to review practices and expertise at DEWA in electricity and water areas.
During the meeting, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the managing director and chief executive of DEWA, reviewed DEWA’s programmes and projects, aiming to achieve the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to strengthen the UAE's leadership worldwide.
The meeting further discussed the need to improve performance, productivity and quality of service to the customers across the region.
According to Al tayer, the strategy of DEWA is in line with the UAE Centennial 2071, the UAE Vision 2021 and the Dubai Plan 2021, to secure a sustainable life for future generations, said the source.
The senior delegation of Aramco briefed Al Tayer on the company’s Energy Industrial City project, which is expected to be developed in more than 50 sq km area. The team further expressed its desire to cooperate with DEWA in generation, transmission and distribution fields.
