Dana to start drilling Sharjah gas project in Q3 2013

Dana Gas has announced that drilling at its Zora gas project, located 33km off the coast of UAE emirate Sharjah, will begin in Q3 2013

Zora is expected to be fully operational in 2014 and will produce close to 1.7mn cubic metres of gas per day.

Meanwhile, the UAE-based company said it had collected a total of US$73.7mn in receivables from its operations in Egypt and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq so far in 2013.

Rashid Al-Jarwan, acting CEO of Dana Gas, said, “We are pleased to see that our strategy and efforts for addressing our receivables position in Egypt and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is yielding results.”
