Wellpro Group announces agreement with Inflatable Packers International

Global well intervention company Wellpro Group has announced a collaborative agreement with Inflatable Packers International (IPI), a manufacturer of inflatable technology for the oil and gas industry

The agreement enables the Aberdeen-headquartered thru tubing and well intervention provider to significantly enhance its existing portfolio and offer IPI’s products along with operational design, technical support and field personnel to run and deploy the technology at the well site.

IPI is an Australian-based company specialising in the design and manufacture of inflatable packers and service equipment for the oil and gas, mining, geotechnical and water resources industries.

Wellpro Group CEO Jim Thomson said, “The new comprehensive service commencing initially from the Middle East, will allow us to offer a further product line to our business.

“It will also enable our customers to access a more complete well intervention package, including conventional inflates, thru tubing, fishing, milling and complementary services from a single source. This will save them time and money.”

Wellpro Group has grown significantly since being formed in February 2018, establishing itself as a leading thru tubing provider in the Eastern Hemisphere, employing new members of staff in the Middle East and Asia, to bring the total headcount to around 30 across the world with expectations of continued growth over the coming 12 months.
