Kentz has been awarded two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts in the Middle East region, valued at US$18mn

The first contract was provided by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited (GASCO) for the replacement of the existing control system and associated electrical and instrumentation services in the onshore oilfields of Habshan.

The scope of the contract also covers multi-discipline engineering and construction disciplines with upgrades to the injection compressors, including the replacement of the existing control system with new technology, compressor auxiliary panels and gas turbine field instrumentation, according to company sources.

Kentz added that the second contract was for an unnamed Abu Dhabi client, whereby the company is expected to execute multiple services under the management of a specialist contractor.

"We are delighted to have won a new client in the Middle East and to secure a further contract with GASCO," said Tush Doshi, COO, EPC global business unit for Kentz. "As outlined in our interim results, EPC continues to afford us a lot of opportunities across the world and our strategic changes to this unit are showing results with these further contracts in the Middle East, in addition to the recent awards in southern Africa."
