Wellpro Group announces Middle East expansion

Wellpro GroupAberdeen-headquartered Wellpro Group has continued its international growth momentum with a new acquisition in the Middle East

The well intervention specialist has acquired the Dubai-based thru-tubing service and rental business of Hunting Energy Services for an undisclosed amount, with the existing team of 13 employees – including onshore support and field personnel – transferring to Wellpro Group.

Jim Thomson, CEO of Wellpro Group, said, “We are delighted to join forces with the Dubai team as this offers a new platform to jointly expand our business. Our diligence has identified how much our new colleagues are qualified and well-known in the industry.”

“We are very confident that together we will achieve our ambitious international expansion objectives,” he added.

Martin Webster, manager of the Dubai operation, commented, “Joining Wellpro Group is a great opportunity for both our team and our customers alike. We expect Wellpro’s focus on thru-tubing services to assist us in bringing value to our clients as well as to attract new ones.”

The company recently achieved ISO9001:2015 accreditation within its first year of operation; underlining Wellpro Group’s focus on customer service. It intends to implement identical standards in its Middle East and Asia operations.

Wellpro Group, which is primarily focused on well intervention and thru-tubing tools, was established in 2018 to meet the demand for innovative solutions within the UK and European well intervention markets as well as other major operating locations globally.
