First Style is now LUX Assure’s sales agent in Saudi Arabia

Chemical monitoring and management solutions company Lux Assure has appointed Saudi Arabia’s First Style as a sales agent for LUX’s corrosion management products CoMic™ and OMMICA™ to customers in the region

Emma Perfect, CEO, LUX Assure, said that with this collaboration, LUX will be able to better serve its clients in Saudi Arabia, allowing them straight-forward access to the company’s cutting-edge technologies.

First Style is one of the leading suppliers focused in oil and gas, electricity and petrochemical sectors in the region.

LUX Assure’s flagship products were successfully deployed in Saudi Arabia for the first time in 2017. It utilised its OMMICA™ MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) in water analysis kit, to evaluate the efficacy of a MEG regeneration unit.

OMMICA™ is a detection kit designed for use on offshore to determine the concentration of methanol or MEG in oil or water. The presence of these chemicals in hydrocarbon fluids can reduce the quality and value of produced fluids. Traditionally, testing for these chemicals involves sending samples offsite to a third-party lab which is costly and causes delays in receiving results.

“Securing this deployment was a significant achievement for LUX Assure. We’re pleased to see our products and services recognised by a major operator which is seeking a more cost-effective, accurate and timely solution,” Perfect added.

“CoMic™, LUX Assure’s innovative technology for monitoring the functional dosage of corrosion inhibitor within a system, was also trialled in the region at the end of 2017 and we are looking forward to building our client base and portfolio in the area with the support of First Style.”

Both the technologies have been deployed across the global oil and gas industry, delivering cost-effective and accurate results in the field, protecting and extending the lifetime of critical assets and enabling informed decision making.

CoMic™ and OMMICA™ together represent a revolution in monitoring and managing difficult-to-detect chemicals in hydrocarbons, condensates and water, specifically the thermodynamic hydrate inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors used to protect oilfield assets, on and offshore.
