ENOC to enhance Jebel Ali refinery capacity

Dubais Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) plans to increase the capacity at its Jebel Ali refinery by 20,000 bpd to 140,000 bpd

"The company is in the process of undertaking a refinery debottlenecking project, which will increase its refining capacity to 140,000 bbls/day," the company revealed.

The debottlenecking process involves capacity improvements that will improve the oil flow.

ENOC has also planned to construct a second jet fuel pipeline to Dubai International Airport from Jebel Ali Terminal, Reuters reported.

The company's subsidiary, Horizon Terminals, has secured a US$100 million loan to partly fund the construction of the terminal to supply the fuel.

The jet fuel pipeline will reach the airport from the liquid petroleum terminal at the Jebel Ali Free Zone industrial park, while the storage tanks for the terminal have a capacity of 141,000 cubic meters.

ENOC, with its storage capacity at 1.2 million cubic meters, is one of the biggest oil storage owners in Jebel Ali.
