Yemen LNG denies new attack on pipeline

Yemen-LNG-TanksYemen LNG Company has denied reports that the main pipeline feeding its LNG export terminal at Balhaf has been sabotaged again

In a statement, Yemen LNG denied "the news of a pipeline sabotage that was reported by some press agencies".

"LNG production is running on two trains at the Balhaf LNG plant and all the upstream facilities and the pipeline are in service at nominal capacity," the company said.

The last attack on the LNG pipeline occurred on 21 August 2012, which was then repaired and reopened at the end of last month.

The country’s oil and gas pipeline has been repeatedly attacked over the last year, which has impacted Yemen’s export earnings.
