SNC-Lavalin has been awarded an oil and gas contract in the Middle East with an approximate value of US$800mn

According to the company, the contract further cements SNC-Lavalin’s position in the Middle East.

The project will involve developing the infrastructure and processing facilities for a gas field, with SNC-Lavalin’s lump sum turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scope on the project including connecting gas producing wells into the main processing plant.

Christian Brown, president, Oil & Gas at SNC-Lavalin, said, “A substantial award such as this shows our continued focus on our clients and the resilience of our business model, despite the ongoing pressures in the industry.

“We are very pleased to grow our project portfolio with this key client and are excited to be combining resources from Valerus, our gas handling and processing expert, with our strong engineering team to deliver this project.”

With close to 25 per cent of its global workforce based in the Middle East, SNC-Lavalin’s broad presence in this key growth region allows the company to deliver sustainable, customised and high-quality project solutions to its local clients.
