Emerson buys ISE Magtech to strengthen liquid measurement offering

Emerson Process Management has bought ISE Magtech in a strategic move that will enable the company to provide complete liquid level measurement solutions across the hydrocarbon industry

The acquisition of ISE Magtech will allow Emerson to strengthen its existing portfolio of level measurement products. ISE Magtech designs and manufactures level gages and associated equipment for use in industrial applications.

Tom Moser, president of Emerson's Rosemount Measurement brand, commented: "This acquisition is strategic to extending our solutions to help oil and gas, refining, chemical and power plant operators to monitor and control conditions in a wide range of applications."

Emerson felt that ISE Magtech’s knowledge and technology combined perfectly with its Rosemount technology and could help it expand its own offering, according to Moser.

ISE Magtech’s Magnetic Level Gage coupled with the Rosemount Guided Wave Radar creates a complete liquid measurement solution by combining a local visual indication of level with a robust transmitter to support plant operators’ needs for visual and automated system monitoring.
