SABIC has announced it will be in the process of a global transformation aimed at creating a more cost-efficient and customer oriented organisation that meets customer demands more effectively
SABIC’s new organisational structure is expected to be in place by 1 January 2016, the company said.
The firm stated that it will overcome challenges it is currently faced with through optimising its existing portfolio, while also at the same time investing in the innovations that are needed for future expansion.
According to Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan, acting vice chairman and CEO of SABIC, the company'sglobal 2025 strategy is to be at the forefront of the global chemicals industry by delivering ‘Chemistry that Matters’.
“This reorganization will focus resources more intensively on the needs of each line, enhancing customer intimacy with more focused solutions provision and helping move SABIC to the next level of portfolio product management,” said Al-Benyan.
“The changes will enhance our global footprint to serve our customers locally while providing solutions globally,” added the CEO.
