NETZSCH adds sizes to FSIP version of NEMO progressive cavity pump

Industry

NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH has added NEMO progressive cavity pumps to its line of full service-in-place (FSIP), aiming to provide full access to the rotating parts of all the pumps

According to the company, NEMO FSIP is available in six sizes, NM045 to NM105, for flow rates up to 180 cu/m per hour. The company further added that the NEMO FSIP models are offered with differential pressures up to 12 bar, which are identical to the performance parameters of the standard series.

The users can open the large inspection cover of the pump housing, dismantle all rotating parts and install them again without removing the pump from the pipe assembly or having to disconnect wiring, said NETZSCH.

Speaking to the press, the company added, “The NEMO’s rotor-stator unit can be lifted out after opening the newly designed inspection cover on the pump housing, without the need for any special tools. This significantly reduces installation and maintenance time.”

With the new FSIP pump, all wearing parts can be replaced when opening the pump. Because the rotor-stator unit can be removed either sideways or from above, the pump’s installation footprint has been reduced for both conventional stators and the newer iFD-Stator, the company further explained.

Michael Groth, head of business field environmental and energy of NETZSCH, commented that the NEMO pump with FSIP design is compatible with the existing NEMO pump BY and SY series. Using NEMO FSIP conversion kits, the previously installed 1 and 2-stage NEMO pumps in sizes NM045 to NM105 can be retrofitted without changes to the previous system or pumping characteristics.

The pump is available in various styles with four rotor or stator geometries and a selection of engineered joints and sealing that can be tailored to suit specific applications, said Groth.
